Voices from Our Community

We challenge stigma, myths, and discrimination by promoting accurate information and equal rights for persons with albinism. These are the real stories behind the statistics, told by the people who live them every day.

Neighbors used to call me the white woman or 'useless person when I passed by. After OIPPA stood with me, I learned that my worth was never in question but their understanding that needed to change.

Nyirabikari Sphora, Beneficiary from Musanze

If OIPPA had existed when I was young, I would be a master's degree holder today. What they are doing now gives the next generation the future I could only dream about.

Munyakaragwe Felicien, Beneficiary from Musanze District

After OIPPA's advocacy, I can ride my motorcycle without facing discrimination. Mindsets have changed and people now understand that we are also human beings.
